The Lead Generation Marketing Technology Specialist implements, oversees, and optimizes marketing technologies to enable and enhance lead generation efforts. This role focuses on building and maintaining data-driven systems, building and optimizing landing pages (based on provided mockups/designs), managing marketing automation, and integrating APIs for seamless lead allocation. The specialist ensures efficient workflows, accurate data tracking, and conversion optimization to maximize marketing ROI.
Essential Functions
- Build and optimize mobile-friendly, SEO-compliant landing pages and forms (with drag-and-drop build tools based on mockups provided) for improved user experience and conversion rates.
- Analyze, manipulate, and report on lead generation data using MS Excel, SQL, MS Access, and dashboards.
- Build dynamic forms with conditional logic and configure lead allocation to API endpoints.
- Use, modify, and maintain databases to ensure data integrity, improve hygiene, and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Develop and implement methods for identifying and resolving data inconsistencies, duplicates, and other quality issues.
- Create and automate reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for marketing efforts.
- Implement and monitor social/search conversion tracking through pixels and API integrations.
- Build and manage marketing automation systems/workflows to nurture leads through the funnel.
- Collaborate with teams and troubleshoot issues in lead generation technology systems.
Competencies
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for basic web development.
- Advanced skills in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros), Access, and SQL for data analysis.
- Expertise in API integrations, Zapier, and data flow between systems.
- Knowledge of marketing and analytics platforms (e.g., CRMs, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with database maintenance practices, data hygiene protocols, and data governance principles.
- Familiarity with tracking pixels, API connections, Zapier and A/B testing methodologies
- Preferred: Proven ability to optimize landing page conversion rates (form fills) and increase user engagement.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in marketing automation and web development.
- Experience managing and querying databases (e.g., SQL, Access) to analyze and clean data.
- Experience working with large datasets and implementing data hygiene protocols.
- Experience with social media ad platforms and pixel implementation.
- Preferred: Experience leading or participating in conversion rate optimization for lead generation or e-commerce.
